Local business to feed the community through their soup drive
Mwari Pizza House does its bit to help curb food insecurity in the communty

Kwa-Thema – Mwari Pizza House is introducing a weekly soup kitchen drive, which will take place every Monday from 8am to 10am, at 48 Ramothibe Street.
The initiative was inspired by a client who bought pizza slices for a needy community member.
“A month ago, a client of ours was buying pizza from us.
“He then saw this guy sitting across the street and he could tell that he was hungry.
“He bought two slices of pizza for him, we then added two of our own free of charge. ”

From then onward we have established a relationship with him, whereby he comes every now and then for food, we have since also donated clothes for him and blankets.
“Now, we want to grow that into a community initiative which will benefit the needy people in our community,” says head chef Kabelo Ngomane.
The community is encouraged to lend a helping hand to make the soup drive a success.
“We want to do it at least three times a week, if not daily.
“We are urging other businesses, stakeholders and the community to donate the little they have.
“They can use Mwari Pizza House as a drop of depot because there are plenty of people in need, especially during this season,” he adds.
