A 40-year-old man briefly appeared in the Springs Magistrate’s Court on Thursday to face charges of crimen injuria, assault and intimidation.
This comes after the man’s arrest on Wednesday after an alleged altercation with the EMPD.

In a video that went viral on social media, a group of EMPD officers could be seen arresting a man while a crowd of bystanders looked on.
The EMPD allege the man became abusive towards them while they were investigating traffic violations in the area.
