Dersley streetlights burn 24/7

Residents allege streetlights in Dersley have been left on during the day for almost a year.
The City of Ekurhuleni has previously told the Advertiser lights are left on during the day in an attempt to prevent cable theft.
Resident Bokkie Koekemoer said he reported the issue in March and many times since then.
“I have called them many, many times, but every time they just give me a reference number and nothing else gets done.

“It’s unacceptable that we as taxpayers have to waste our money,” he said.
