District honors Springs Muslim School

The executive management of the Gauteng East district office, led by director Faith Tshabalala, visited Springs Muslim School on Friday morning.

The executive management of the Ekurhueni East district office, led by director Faith Tshabalala, visited Springs Muslim School on Friday morning.
“Every child who leaves this school does so with confidence, knowing they have received a good education.
“We wanted to do this in person. In previous years we would send a letter of appreciation. But this year we wanted to come in person and show our pride for the work you are doing,” said Tshabalala.
The school is one of only four in the district that achieved a 100 per cent pass rate for the Class of 2020.

“Your achievement does not only affect the district but the whole province and country.
“The school did not just do well, you excelled.”
Tshabalala admitted 2020 provided many with good enough excuses to not put their best efforts forward.
“But those things did not shift your focus. You continued with the goals you set, even with the challenges we all faced.
“And the results were beautiful. Keep up the good job.
“One day we should come back so you can reveal the secret to your success.
“If we can gain from your wisdom, we can help other schools to achieve the same result.
“I am so happy to share this moment with you,” she added.
Springs Muslim School has maintained this pass rate for 13 consecutive years.

Abu Khan, the chairperson of the school’s board, said education is central to the school and its foundation.
“We respect and appreciate the guidance of the district office, and the relationship we have had since 1994,” he said.
The school started operating in 1995.
“This visit is a great boost for us. We are grateful to be recognised by you and your office.
“We can only grow from here. Not just the school, but the whole district.
“The message we give to our children is that beyond the careers they choose, their greatest contribution is to serve our fellow human beings,” he added.
