The Geduld Cemetery is once again in a state of disrepair and neglect.
The grass, which has not been cut this year, has grown metres tall in some areas and has entirely covered some of the tombstones.
Some of the tombstones are inaccessible due to the height and density of the grass and weeds.

“We have had a lot of rain, so it has been difficult for metro workers to come out and clean.
“We have also had many staff falling ill, so there has been a staff shortage.
“Due to similar problems in other areas of Springs, there is now a backlog of services,” said ward councillor Thulani Simelane.
