The case of the 36-year-old woman accused of contravening Section 40 of the Health Professions Act of 1974 came to a dramatic conclusion in the Springs Magistrate’s Court when she was sentenced to two years in prison.
After Sanet Mari Brand pleaded guilty to all the charges against her, magistrate Jaco du Plessis had no choice but to sentence Brand.

She was arrested last October after police received a tip-off about a woman posing as a doctor in Selcourt and has been behind bars since November.
