“The pandemic has impacted almost every corner of life, causing global economies to stall, changing the way we work, interacting with our loved ones is no longer the same, and stretching of the healthcare system
“Governments around the world have been forced to implement harsh restrictions on human activity. We have just come through those experiences in the last four weeks.

“For Distell, Covid-19 is the single biggest risk to our supply chain and since the outbreak of this pandemic. Distell nationally has lost 12 employees.
“We see this vaccination programme as a major development in the fight against the pandemic.
“As more people are vaccinated, families and communities will be able to gradually return to a life of some normalcy.

“Vaccination is the only viable path out of this pandemic that will give us a sustainable return to economic activity, and getting jobs and life back to some level of normalcy.
“Every person who gets vaccinated is not only protecting themselves from Covid-19, but also reducing the opportunity for the virus to spread.”
Gounden said their Springs vaccination site was one of four they have around the country, and once they are done vaccinating their employees, they are also accredited to vaccinate the general community.
They will partner up with the local government to make the rollout a success and said they were looking forward to working together.
