The council’s poor service delivery in Springs concerns her.
It was a mistake to centralise the function of service delivery.
As a result, the government is too far removed from communities and service delivery has become ineffective.
It creates a vicious cycle in which municipalities provide poor service delivery but keep increasing tariffs that limit development and growth in the private sector.
It results in unemployment and a generally impoverished population, which further restricts city council revenue.
On November 1, residents have the opportunity to stand up against the ANC and vote against poor service delivery.
Ward councillor candidates were invited to submit photographs and write-ups. Some candidates had not submitted information as requested.
