AfriForum cleans park

This project involves the maintenance of the duck pond and park.

The AfriForum branch in Springs started their sustainable cleaning project at the duck pond in George Sutter Park on January 29.
The local AfriForum branch will constantly ensure the park remains accessible to community members by cutting the grass, upgrading the jungle gyms and protecting the wildlife.

“This park is a popular gathering place for the community, but in recent years the park has deteriorated badly.
“Members of the community maintained the duck pond themselves for several years and then approached the AfriForum branch in December 2021 to take over this project,” said Cornel Swart, chairperson of the Springs AfriForum branch.
The AfriForum branch invites the Springs community to support this initiative.
