In commemoration of Women’s Month, God-fearing women from the SAPS, supported by their male colleagues, community patrollers and women from different churches in Ekurhuleni, gathered at Hope Hill Church in Springs to pray for spiritual well-being.
They also prayed against violent crimes and used the opportunity to offload their burdens.
“They prayed for SAPS as well as its leadership and peace in the Ekurhuleni district,” explained Captain Neldah Sekgobela, Ekurhuleni district communications officer.

The event was graced by the presence of SAPS district commissioner Major General Anna Sithole, Springs station commander Brigadier Thembeka Gwebushe and station commanders in the Ekurhuleni district.
“Sithole urged members not to wait for the prayer session but instead make prayer their daily bread.
“She said that we all need to pray for the elimination of crime and the protection of the police officers during their tour of duties,” added Sekgobela.
