Motha family homeless after house destroyed in blaze
The Motha family need all the help they can get after their home burnt to the ground
Life will never be the same again for Geduld resident Catherine Motha and her family.
What was meant to be a quiet night in with the family on August 30 turned into a nightmare that accumulated in them losing their home.
A fire was allegedly set by an individual known to the family following an alleged altercation, and with it, they lost everything.

“As you can see, the home that I have worked so hard for is burnt to the ground. My daughter’s school material and her new laptop are also gone. We have nothing.
“She will be giving birth soon and all that we collected for the baby’s arrival has gone up in flames. Even the clothes on my back have been graciously given to me by my neighbours and sisters-in-law. I have nothing,” laments Catherine.

Sergeant Themba Tshabalala from the Springs SAPS confirmed a case of arson and assault has been opened.
