Pritisha M wins SATMA 2022 Award
“Every time I look at the award, I'll appreciate the gift bestowed on me,” says Pritisha M.
Pritisha Muthraparsad (13), also known as Pritisha M, walked away with an award at the South African Traditional Music Achievement 2022 Awards that took place on October 1 in Mbombela, Mpumalanga.
Pritisha M won a SATMA 2022 Award for the Best Indian Artist Group.
Pritisha M, returning home with a mild fever, still feels ecstatic and grateful for all the votes she received.
“Winning the award means representing humanity and being a voice for the voiceless. Support has roots in my respective home,” says Pritisha M.

“I wouldn’t be here without the media support, fans, followers and all those who believe in me. All the encouraging words and appreciation has been so uplifting.
“To aspiring musicians, the thought of it confirms that you have what it takes. Take it on with perseverance and commitment.”
Pritisha M expressed that she is celebrating her turn with a joyful heart.
She dedicates her achievement to her late grandfather, Dharam Sewraj, who motivated her to not just dream but to make her dreams a reality, and she is continuing her journey as a singer.
