Springs SAPS investigates murder of taxi owner
Authorities are looking for anything that will help them with the investigation.
Springs police are investigating a case of murder after a taxi owner was found dead in his car along Ermelo Road on Tuesday morning.
The taxi owner from Everest was found with head injuries.
Springs SAPS spokesperson Sergeant Themba Tshabalala said the instrument that was used in the commission of the crime is still unknown.
“A family member who was at the scene confirmed that a cellphone and car keys found inside the car belong to the deceased.
“We suspect that the deceased was kidnapped, murdered and later dumped here because there are no blood traces in the car,” added Tshabalala.
The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is encouraged to inform the police or contact the Springs police on 011 365 5700.
