A fantastic tee off for Hope, Faith, and Grace

"It was totally different from any of our other events. The vibe was great and we got to share more about what Hope, Faith, and Grace Community Project is all about," says Kerry-leigh Wright.

Local NGO Hope, Faith, and Grace Community Centre held a fundraising golf day at Pollak Park Golf Club on October 21.

The fundraising event was a bid to raise money to assist the centre’s youth who will be entering the working industry.

“This was our first golf day and it was the first event that some of our youth participated in. It taught them event planning, customer service, teamwork and dedication,” said the centre’s founder, Kerry-Leigh Wright.

The youth from Hope, Faith, and Grace prepared gourmet dishes and desserts for the guests, and everyone who attended the event received a prize.

“Although we did not make the money we had hoped for, we will continue to do more fundraising events to cover expenses and transportation.”

“We are expecting new youth next year and are pushing hard for extra storage and seating areas to accommodate all of them,” said Kerry-Leigh.

Hope, Faith, and Grace Community Centre would like to thank everyone for making their first golf day a success.
