EMPD leads talks against GBV

The EMPD launched an awareness campaign about violence against women and children.

Members of the EMPD social crime prevention unit based in the eastern region took to the streets of Daggafontein near Struisbult in Springs in an awareness campaign ahead of 16 Days Of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.

The purpose of the operation was to educate members of the community on violence against women and children as the festive season approaches.

In an ongoing operation, the EMPD educated the community on how such crimes could be reported and how to offer assistance to the victims of such wrongdoings.

The community of Skoonplaas informal settlement near Gold One Mining in Dersley Park were informed about safety and municipal by-laws on Sunday.
