Springs and Kwa-Thema Child Welfare Society receives donations
In this season of giving, SGS's act of generosity has served as an inspiration for all.
Sample Global Solutions South Africa (SGS), an organisation based in Woodmead, has given back to the community of Springs.
SGS, by its commitment to corporate social responsibility, identified and donated 10 laptops, an NTC server, keyboards and a Wi-Fi modem to Springs and Kwa-Thema Child Welfare Society on November 24.
Programme manager for the Springs and Kwa-Thema Child Welfare, Sanet van Moerkerken, says this moment means more to them than just a donation.
“The donation, a pivotal moment for Springs and Kwa-Thema Child Welfare Society, signifies more than the sum of its technological parts.
“It embodies a partnership rooted in shared values: a dedication to empowering communities and ensuring equitable access to educational resources,” she said.
She adds how the donation opens a new world of opportunities for them.
“The laptops alone represent portals of opportunity, offering a bridge across the digital divide. They are not just machines; they are gateways to knowledge, tools for innovation and windows to a world of possibilities for those benefitting from Springs and Kwa-Thema Child Welfare Society’s initiatives.
“Moreover, the inclusion of an NTC server, keyboards and a Wi-Fi modem speaks volumes about SGS’s holistic approach to supporting technological infrastructure.
“These components serve as the backbone of connectivity, enabling seamless access to information and resources critical for educational and developmental programmes,” she said.
Sanet expresses their immense gratitude for the donation.

“Their support will amplify the impact of our programmes, allowing us to further our mission of Springs and Kwa-Thema Child Welfare Society.”
SGS representative, Tholohelo Makatu, says the organisation is committed to giving back to the communities in which they live and work.
“Every year we encourage employees to share information on organisations in need – this is how we learned about the Springs and Kwa-Thema Child Welfare Society.
“We hope that our contribution enables the society to continue the good work of helping our most vulnerable citizens. Thank you to Sanet van Moerkerken for welcoming and allowing SGS to make an impact in the Springs community.”
