SOB hosts second SPL Cricket T20 tournament

Cricket teams T and B Brothers and SK Cellular defeated their opponents over the two-day SPL Cricket T20 tournament on May 18 and 20 at the Springs Old Boys cricket stadium.

The Springs Old Boys (SOB) SPL Cricket T20 kicked off its tournament at the weekend.

The T and B Brothers (T & B) team played their opening match against the SA Lions. It was a tough match for the SA Lions, losing by seven wickets.

The final score was 77/2 in 8.4 overs for T & B and 72 all out in 15.5 overs for the Lions.

The best batters for the SA Lions were Adam with 23 from 22 balls and Hanzala with 18 from 18 balls.

The best bowler was Mahlatse, with three overs, 35 runs, and two wickets.

The best batters for the Brothers were Sabelo with 27 from 22 balls and Bryden Hicks with 21 from 13 balls.

The best bowler was Mohammed Dudha, with 2.5 overs, 13 runs, and four wickets.

On the second day, World of Sunpower tried their best to secure a win, but SK Cellular proved too strong by winning seven runs.

The final score was 183 all out in 20 overs for SK and 175/8 in 20 overs for World of Sunpower.

The best SK batters were Jason Smit with 64 and Frad Khelya with 28.

The best bowlers were Alpesh Borat with four overs, 40 runs, and three wickets; Neel Tandel with four runs, 18 runs, and two wickets; and Frad Khelya with 28 of 13.

The best batters for World of Sunpower were Samir Panter with 70 and Moin Chand with 31.
