PFG Building Glass plants 30 trees in Wright Park

PFG Building Glass planted 30 trees post Arbor Day to boost the local environment.

Extending the spirit of Arbor Day, PFG Building Glass planted 30 trees on Tuesday morning in Wright Park. The initiative aims to further PFG’s corporate social investment (CSI) commitment to improve the environment.

Although Arbor Day is celebrated from September 1 to 7, the company chose to mark the occasion by planting trees at a later stage.

SHERQ manager Morne Butler said they took this opportunity to make a tangible difference in the community.

“We chose to plant these indigenous trees as a way of contributing to a healthier and more sustainable environment.”

“We will be maintaining these trees on a regular basis together with our local Environmental Development Department,” said Butler.
