Welgedacht teen selected for prestigious global academic tour

The teenager worked hard to bag this opportunity.

Sisipho Noraqa’s hard work is finally paying off. The15-year-old from Welgedacht has been selected by her school for an opportunity of a lifetime.

The preteen, who goes to Benoni High School, has been chosen as a representative to attend the 10th Annual Academic Achievers Tour.

The 11 day tour will be hosted in Dubai, England and the USA. Proud mom, Ntokozo Dlamini, says Sisipho picked to go to the USA because there are better opportunities.

“She was selected because she kept getting academic awards at school and showing great enthusiasm for learning new things.

“These efforts made her one of the top achievers and thus the opportunity presented itself.”

Sisipho wants to be an industrial pharmacist when she grows up. She loves to play hockey and watch movies.

Her favourite book is The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind. Ntokozo is beaming with happiness that her daughter’s efforts are coming to fruition.

“I’m feeling happy and excited that my first born child was selected academically for this opportunity.”
