Springs SAPS urges vigilance in 2025
Residents are urged to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.
The Springs SAPS extend its well wishes to the residents of Springs this 2025. Springs SAPS station commander Brigadier Raymond Buthelezi says everyone must continue to stay vigilant and safe for the year.
“With the festive season having come to an end, residents should not relax. Thieves will look for any opportunity to strike.”
He provides tips on how to continue being safe.
“Residents should refrain from posting on the internet when they go on holiday or leave the house unattended. Social media has become a tool for robbers to scout and monitor the activities of families.”
He also says Springsites should be alert when driving, especially at night.

“Keep your windows closed when driving and try to avoid being on your phones to help prevent smash and grabs. Please be careful as idling cars are also vulnerable to hijackings.”
Buthelezi says people should do their best to respect laws put in place to keep them safe.
“We, along with the local CPF, are trying to contain and curb crime within the town.”
Buthelezi says through the combined efforts of residents, CPF groups, the SAPS, and residents, Springs will become an even safer town to live in.
“Residents must do their bit to help. Report any suspicious activities or vehicles.”
