Jesus Outreach Feeding Scheme is hosting a 2km fun run to raise funds.
This Eastvale-based scheme is run by San van Wyk who, through regular donations, can distribute food to more than 50 families monthly.
San encourages the community to participate and lend a helping hand to those in need.
“The community must participate for them to become aware of how great the need for food in our community is,” she said.
This fun walk takes place on March 1 at the PJ Nursery in Dersley Park.
All participants are encouraged to dress up and prizes are up for grabs for the best dressed.
The entry fee is R50 and the walk will start at 10:00. All proceeds will go towards the feeding scheme and the families they support.
