Microbus carrying Pollak Park Primary School learners involved in head-on collision
There were no reported fatalities.
A school bus and a car collided near Pollak Park Primary School on Wednesday morning. The microbus was carrying 10 school children. The other vehicle, a Hyundai Getz, had a female driver and her child.
According to the City of Ekurhuleni spokesperson Zweli Dlamini, both drivers sustained serious injuries in the head-on collision.
“All the children were transported to Netcare N17 Hospital for observation.”
Apart from the learners, the microbus driver also had an adult passenger in the front seat who sustained minor injuries.
“The passenger was also taken to hospital for observation. There are no fatalities.”
The children are all learners from Pollak Park Primary (previously known as Montessori School).
