Local business serves community

The initiative is from Spur's head office.

Spur Steak Ranches from Springs Mall and Springsgate as well as the Spur head office’s operational team joined in on some clean-up action in the town on Friday.

The group cleaned George Sutter Park as part of a community outreach initiative from the head office, based in Woodmead, Sandton.

Proud Springs resident and a Spur employee, Tracy van Dyk, says it felt good as a member of the community and employee to do a good deed.

“It was fun and served as a bit of team building and community awareness.”

The company also sponsored platters for New Seed Church’s youth group on Friday.

“It’s awesome to see that people and businesses care so much for the community.”
