Help the Springs SPCA keep four-legged friends warm
The Springs SPCA is situated on the corner of Ermelo and Townsend roads in Strubenvale.
Winter is upon us and Springs SPCA is appealing to the community to help keep the furry little friends warm during this season.
They are in need of donations to ensure that the animals in their care, and those in vulnerable areas are kept safe and comfortable.
“Our kennels can get really cold, and we want to make sure the animals in our care stay as warm and comfortable as possible during those chilly nights.”
“We are reaching out to our kind hearted community for support by donating blankets. Our preferred choice is the durable stormy blankets from Pep stores but all warm washable blankets are welcome,” says Annecia le Roux, the manager.

SPCA is in also in need of doggy jerseys of all sizes, and kennels, especially the type that can be dismantled as they are easier to move in and out of the sleeping area and transport.
“We are urgently appealing for medium and large plastic kennels with detachable roofs as these are the only kind that can fit through our gates and into the sleeping areas.”
“If you’re able to donate one, whether it is old or new or even if you are able to make one, it would make a world of difference. You can drop them off at our branch, or we can arrange collection in Springs,” she explained.
