Meet Zamokuhle Ndawonde, the Springs Advertiser’s new community reporter

With a background in digital storytelling and a passion for local news, Zamo is here to spotlight the people and issues that shape Springs.

The Springs Advertiser welcomes Zamokuhle (Zamo) Ndawonde, a journalist with a passion for community news, digital media and engaging storytelling.

Originally from Sterkspruit in the Eastern Cape, Zamo holds an advanced diploma in journalism from the Tshwane University of Technology. She brings two years of media experience, during which she honed her writing, research and multimedia storytelling skills.

Now part of the Advertiser team, Zamo’s goal is clear: to cover the stories that matter to the people of Springs.

In addition to reporting, she is skilled in social media content creation, video and photo editing, and content management systems.

This combination of skills helps bring the newspaper’s online platforms to life.

Readers can look forward to honest, accessible and engaging stories from Zamo as she settles into her new role, whether it’s a feel-good profile, hard news, or a helpful guide for local residents.

Have a story to share? Keep an eye out. She might be at your next community event, notebook in hand and ears open.
