Springs Tigers celebrate a successful season with prize giving

From winning tournaments to fostering discipline and teamwork, the Springs Tigers used their end-of-season celebration to honour both achievement and community spirit.

The Springs Tigers celebrated the end of the season with a prize-giving ceremony on October 24 at their home ground, Selpark Primary School sports ground.

Chairperson and coach Shalom Mazibuko told the Springs Advertiser that the ceremony was to recognise the hard work and growth the boys have shown throughout the year, both on and off the field.

“Across all age groups, the club celebrated victories, development, discipline and unity,” he said.

The club’s U7 team recently won the Serengeti tournament and finished second in division three in the Easterns Local Football Association (ELFA) League.

Mazibuko added that as a team and a community, they are proud to help develop young people who can make a positive impact at home and in the community.

“The discipline, hunger and determination our players show reflects the values we instil in them. As Springs Tigers, we invite families in and around Springs to bring their children to the club.

”Come share in our passion for youth development and see how sport can shape character, build confidence and ignite the drive to succeed. Together, we are raising the leaders of tomorrow,” Mazibuko concluded.
