Two arrested after failed break-in at Springs CBD property
ProSafe reaction officers responded within minutes to an alarm in the Springs CBD, finding two suspects hiding inside cupboards after forcing entry into a property.
The ProSafe reaction team prevented a break-in at premises in the Springs CBD in the early morning of November 7.
ProSafe’s Dorette Van Zyl told the Springs Advertiser that alarm activations prompted the immediate dispatch of a reaction officer.
Upon arrival, the officer found a man and a woman pulling down the roller door, leading to a call for backup.
She added that the pair had forced their way into the building by cutting the padlocks on the back door.
“The reaction team found and apprehended both individuals, who were found attempting to hide inside kitchen cupboards on the property,” explained Van Zyl.
The stolen goods were recovered on site, and the property owner and the Springs SAPS were notified. The police arrested the suspects and opened a case.
