MMC Cllr Lindiwe Mnguni, participated at the two-day ACSA Transport Indaba at the O.R Tambo international Airport.

Member of the Mayoral Committee for Roads and Transport, Councillor Lindiwe Mnguni, participated at the two-day ACSA Transport Indaba at the OR Tambo International Airport on March 30.

MMC Mnguni praised the collaborative efforts of all transport stakeholders to deliver reliable, innovative and inclusive public transport for all commuters.

This year’s edition of the Transport Indaba is convened under the theme: ‘Innovate, Inclusivity and Sustain – Moving Airport Public Transport Forward’.

The City of Ekurhuleni, as host of OR Tambo International Airport, Africa’s busiest airport and a gateway to the African continent, is an important stakeholder in the transport sector.

The city’s bus rapid transit service also connects to the airport precinct, offering seamless, well-coordinated travel for commuters.

MMC Mnguni urged the Transport Indaba to find ways to collaboratively provide safe, reliable, and cost-effective public transport, and told the audience that the extension of the city’s Harambee bus service will integrate with transport stakeholders such as the Gautrain.

Furthermore, the city will continue the good relations with the taxi industry.
