Pritisha M has always been inspired by her late grandfather Dharam Sewraj who motivated her not to just dream but to make her dreams a reality and she is continuing her journey as a singer.
The young and talented singing sensation Pritisha Muthraparsad from Springs is making waves once again.
Muthraparsad, also known as Pritisha M, has been nominated for the South African Traditional Music Awards (SATMA) in the category of Best Indian Artist/Group.
Pritisha M is a 13-year-old musician who has had a passion for music since early childhood. The youngster feels ecstatic and grateful for being nominated for the second time in a row.
“I am honoured to once again be nominated for a SATMA 2022 as music is my life and I want to continue following my grandfather’s footsteps of being dedicated, humbled, and passionate about what I do,” she said.
Pritisha M’s second song Ye Hawaye Remix is the song nominated for the award.

Stepping out of singing Hindi songs, Pritisha M’s love for the Amapiano genre got her to sing her very first Zulu song titled Love Me which was composed and produced by Mercedes Boshego from Noted Colony Studios.
Love Me is about child abuse and how children are lacking love in their lives. Pritisha M is committed to giving back to those impacted by such trauma.
Pritisha M’s mother Varsha Muthraparsad said her daughter was not born to be average, she was born to be something big as reflected in her God-given voice.
“Her love for music and passion for singing and entertaining started at the tender age of three,” said Varsha.

During the school holidays, the Veritas College learner secured herself radio and television interviews from Kaya FM, SABC Kids and Weekend live.
She aims to raise the bar higher while seeking to motivate other young singers to never give up on their dreams no matter what their circumstances are.
On September 18, she will be receiving a Child Celebrity Artes Award.
