The team will touch down in SA on August 17 with Springs born Jarrod Pretorius on the management team.

They will be in South Africa until August 29 and will visit Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. A five game series will be played against a selected 18U team at Boksburg Cardinals Baseball Club, Boksburg between August 23 and 25.

Head coach Will Lintern is also an SA export who was born in SA and left at the age of four. He is currently the Director of Great Britain’s Baseball Academy.

Pretorius, who was born and bred in Springs, where he attended Veritas College. He started playing baseball at the age of five, playing for Springs Stealers Baseball Club. He later moved to Benoni Northerns Baseball Club  were he played until moving to the UK in 2008.

He will be joining the team as assistant coach. He currently plays for the Harlow Nationals and was the MVP (most valued player) for 2012. He has played in the National Baseball Champs for the last two years and currently coaches M.K. Bucks and Coyotes Baseball Teams in Milton Keynes.

The teams will be playing the following fixtures in Boksburg:

• August 23 – 7pm against the SA team.
• August 24 – 10am against SA.
• August 24 – 3pm against SA.
• August 25 – 10am against SA.
• August 25 – 3pm against SA.
• August 26 – 7pm against Easterns.
• August 27 – 4pm against Gauteng.

Spectators are welcome to come along and support the team and their SA opponents.
