Anglers to be proud of
At the CCHK Angling Club's prizegiving the following people received awards for exceptional points throughout the year.
Meesters – 1st: Piet Snyders 951.70; 2nd: Hendrik Le Roux 254.80; 3rd: Hennie Havenga 146.10.
Men – 1st: Willie Buitendag 2483.30; 2nd: Albert Louw 1884.40; 3rd: Maartin Snyders 1574.50.
Women – 1st: Mariaan Roets 621.10; 2nd: Jackie Booysen 235.40; 3rd: Elize Buitendag 124.40.
Juniors – 1st: DuPreez White 87.60; 2nd: JuanPierre Nel 64.60.
Penkoppe – 1st: Eben Buitendag 604.80; 2nd: Ruan Buitendag 410.20; 3rd: Brenden Marais 276.40.
Lammers – 1st: Adriaan De Beer 155.00.
The club record holder for the biggest carp weighing 5.49kg is Albert Louw; grass carp weighing 4.84kg is Andre de lange; barbel at 15.45kg Andrë de Lange; small mouth yellow fish at 1.14kg Willie Buitendag and the loud mouth yellow fish weighing 1.69kg winner is Albert Marais.
CCHK members also took part in the Mondi Competition recently held at Boschkop Vaaldam and were overall winners.
Club representatives were : Pierre Nel, Attie Roets, Willie Buitendag, Albert Louw, Ewald Vos and Albie Vos.
