Umbali Flyers take to the sky

The Umbali Radio Flyers Club had a day of fun on Sunday at the Vogelstruisbult dam.

The members’ families all got together to enjoy the day at the dam, having a braai while other members flew their airplanes.

The planes are radio controlled and attached to floats so they can take off and land on the water.

Along with the fun was also a little disappointment as some planes crashed in the water either during take-off or landing.

The group comes together every weekend to fly their planes as well as glide some of their radio controlled boats through the water.
