At the beginning of the 2016 season, the three associations (Easterns, Northerns and Southerns) decided to join forces in order to give the players more exposure to playing against teams outside their areas.

This has led to each league comprising up to 11 different teams, with 20 games being played from April to October.

During the 2018 season, this u-10 side only lost two games and ended up with an impressive tally of 130 goals scored in the season.

The team is coached by two young men who are junior league players themselves.

Ntsika Hlongwane and Jarred Ackermann (both 17) have coached the side for the past two seasons. Their passion and commitment to the game – and the players – is evident both at practice sessions and on the side of the field at games.

They have been undeterred by their age and have become proud ambassadors of the Pollak Park club.

The coaches, players and supporters are taking a well-deserved break at the moment but are looking forward to the new challenges the season will hold when it resumes in March/April next year.
