RKC Academy won the toss and decided to have a bat first against Hulapalu Blazers.
Despite cold and windy conditions and an unpredictable pitch with inconsistent bounce, they managed to accumulate a total of 137 for 3 after their allotted 20 overs.
In response, Hulapalu Blazers were all dismissed for a paltry 75, surviving just 15.4 overs.

In addition, Beers and Tots won against Springs Bengal Tigers.
Beers and Tots finished 120 for 1 after 15.3 overs and the Bengal Tigers responded with 114 for 7 after 20 overs.

However, there was extra cause for celebration as female players were introduced into the male-dominated teams.
Annestatia van Rensburg played for RKC Academy and a woman was also introduced into the Beers and Tots side.
