Hijacked vehicle recovered in Wright Park, suspects at large
Local security responded to a hijacking incident in Overline, Springs where a man had been hijacked by six armed men.
A man was hijacked outside his home on Leslie Street in Overline by six armed men who fled with his Hyundai Grand i10 on August 31.
According to the Vampire Security owner, the vehicle was recovered in Wright Park the same night.
“The victim was hijacked by suspects travelling in a white Toyota sedan. He managed to get away and then proceeded to call his tracking company,” he said.
He added that Vampire Security was dispatched to the area.
“We usually assist tracking companies with recovering stolen vehicles. We were about 6.1km away from the coordinates sent to us.
“Upon arrival, we discovered the stolen vehicle abandoned next to the bottle stores in Wright Park,” he said.
He added that the perpetrators are still at large and no arrests have been made.
