Springs Boys to host national school band championships

Springs Boys High School will host nine schools for this year’s band national championships.

Springs Boys High School will be hosting this year’s South African School Band Association National Championships, with nine schools participating. The championships will take place from October 1 to 3.

On October 1, there will be rehearsals for the schools, and concert bands and jazz ensembles will take the stage on October 2.

The big finale featuring parades, drumlines, and field show bands will take place October 3.

Springs Boys’ drum major/tenor saxophone player Simphiwe Obose said that spectators can expect an incredible display of skill, passion, and musical talent from across the country.

“Whether you are a long-time fan or attending nationals for the very first time, it is going to be an exciting, unforgettable experience for everyone.”
