An action-packed thriller

Book review by Natasha Kotze.

The Andalucian Friend by Alexander Söderberg is an action-packed thriller that will take you on a roller coaster ride through the life of Sophie Brinkmann – nurse, widow and single mother.

Up until the moment she meets Hector Guzman, her life has been pretty uneventful. A real charmer, he welcomes her into his family.

But behind the charm lurks something sinister.

He heads an international crime ring which deals in weapons and drugs and Sophie gets dragged into his world.

This book has many interesting characters, a good plot full of twists and turns, a lot of action and intense moments – everything you want from a thriller.

The character development, especially of Sophie, was good and made for good reading.

There are a few parts of the plot not tied up in the end, which gives me the idea there might be a sequel on its way. I do hope I’m right.
