Mindless action film

If you are looking for an action film that doesn’t expect you to engage your brain, then this film is perfect for you.

Although it got a lot of stinky reviews, I enjoyed it and found it much better than the first film, especially as there was a lot more action in it.

In this film, the GI Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra, they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardise their existence.

Framed for crimes against the country, the team is terminated by the president’s order, and the surviving team members face off against Zartan, his accomplices, and the world leaders he has under his influence.

Most of the cast from the first film return, with the added benefit of having Bruce Willis (who stars as the original Joe) and Dwayne Johnson joining the crew. With the two of them on board you can be sure there will be action and laughs aplenty.

But be warned, if you are not in the mood for action or if you are looking for action with more meat to the story (and is more believable), don’t rent this.
