A disappointing Child
Book: Never Go Back Author: Lee Child Reviewed by: Natasha Kotze Review made possible by: Random House Struik Rating: Disappointing

This is another novel featuring former military cop Jack Reacher.
Reacher makes it all the way to his destination in Virginia, the headquarters of his old unit, the 110th MP. This is the closest thing he has ever had to a home.
He is there to meet the new commanding officer, Major Susan Turner, in person because he likes her voice on the phone.
But Turner has been arrested and he is confronted with a murder charge and a paternity suit.
He breaks both of them out of jail and they go on the run, trying to clear their names.
The last few Reacher novels have been a bit weak and although there were elements that were well done, the end was very disappointing. I can’t say more without spoiling the plot, but I will say the end was ridiculous and I think Child has run out of ideas.
Only read this if you are a die-hard Reacher fan.
