Looking for beautiful brides

The Addie is relaunching its Bride of the Year competition and is looking for entries for the January bride.

If you are celebrating your wedding during November or December, make sure to choose a beautiful picture of yourself, by yourself, and enter it into our January Bride of the Month competition for a chance to win a R500 voucher from Lomar Designs.

Anyone living in Springs is eligible to enter and we look forward to seeing your beautiful wedding wardrobe.

Photos of all the brides who enter the competition (and adhere to the rules) will be showcased in the second week of January and our readers will be given the opportunity to vote for their favourite.

The cut-off date for the January competition is noon on January 3, 2014.

Send your JPEG photo, between 2MB and 3MB, to Anna Robertson at annar@caxton.co.za.

All monthly winners will be entered into the Bride of the Year competition to be announced in early 2015.

Rules and regulations

This year, the rules will be strictly adhered to and any bride who does not abide by these rules will be automatically disqualified from the competition.

  • Brides must live in Springs at the time of their marriage and must continue to reside in the city once married. Proof of address not older than 30 days with the bride’s name on it will be required to collect a prize.
  • Photos must be e-mailed to annar@caxton.co.za in JPEG format, between 2MB and 3MB, and must be of the bride by herself. Photos which include the groom or are not sent in the correct format will not be considered for the competition.
  • Voting will be done by SMS (at a cost of R1.50 per SMS) and only one vote per telephone number will be accepted. Multiple votes from the same number will not be counted.
  • The bride must collect her prize within 30 days of the winner being announced each month.
  • The bride must fetch her prize from the Addie offices herself, unless otherwise organised with Anna Robertson.
