The lengths people will go to for love sometimes have tragic consequences.
The story is about a sexually repressed woman who is trapped in a loveless marriage to her cousin.
He, of course, is a sick man and doesn’t see her as a wife with needs.
She falls for her husband’s childhood friend and their obsessive love soon gets the better of them.
With adultery and revenge, a tragic accident takes place and her husband drowns.
Guilt and hatred soon turn the couple’s lives upside down.
Her domineering aunt has a heart attack and is left helpless, which further adds to the situation.
Soon she discovers the truth and as soon as the newlyweds (a wedding suggested by the aunt’s friends) realised she knew the truth, they committed suicide by drinking rat poison.
An illicit affair that leads to tragic consequences.
