The year gets off to an adrenaline-packed start with the combined Rockmania Showdown and Euro Tour at the Rock Raceway on January 18.

The annual Rockmania Showdown, plus the Euro Tour, will feature drivers from the UK, Holland and Germany who will take on local top SA racing drivers in the 1600 Stockrod and 2L Hotrods classes.

World Champion in the 2L Hotrods, Dave Leech, together with four other European top drivers, will take on local drivers in an all-out King Of the Ring showdown.

In the 1600 Stockrod Class a total of four drivers, including one champ from Holland and the others from Germany and the UK, will also be chasing down the silverware at victory lane in a battle of the Stockrods SA vs Euro Challenge.

In true Rockmania fashion, all fans’ favourite disciplines will also be in action as the Drifters, Oval, Formula N Circuit drivers and drag racing will all partake and form part of the event.

Eager patrons can arrive from 10am when gates open for business with practice sessions throughout the course of the day and racing expected to start at 3pm.

Drift suicide rides for the bucket list junkies will also be on sale for all the adrenaline seekers at R100 a ride with tickets available at the lapa.
