Straight Shots trio head to nationals after strong league showing
The Eastern Gauteng Pool Association saw competitive early-season action as Straight Shots players advanced into senior competition and secured key victories, including a dominant win by the Survivors team.
Pool players from the Straight Shots club in Geduld fared well in the Eastern Gauteng Pool Association’s (EGPA) first league season of the year.
In the seniors league top 16 play-offs, Thebogo Thanago, Hans van Niekerk, Fred Elliott, and Anne Smith delivered strong performances.
These players are also part of the team Survivors, who played in the seniors league and beat Ball Busters 13-8.
This team consists of Thebogo, Hans, Fred, Anne, and Jacques van Rooyen.
Additionally, Anne, Hans and Thebogo are participating in nationals, in the senior championship, which takes place from June 20 to 27.
