Outstanding service at Nokuthela Ngwenya Community Health Centre earns community praise

A grateful Springs resident has commended the staff of the health centre for their professionalism, compassion and efficiency after her son received swift treatment for a dislocated arm on June 7.

Springs resident writes by email:

I would like to share the wonderful experience we had at the Nokuthela Ngwenya Community Health Centre on the evening of June 7.

My son dislocated his arm and was in severe pain. From the moment we arrived, we received exceptional care and kindness.

At the entrance gate, we were warmly welcomed by the security staff. As we entered the emergency department, another security officer was already waiting with a wheelchair to assist my son.

While my son was asked to wait to see the doctor, I needed to have his file opened. The nurse who assisted me completed the registration process in approximately two minutes and kindly informed me that I could return to my son while she brought the file to us.

I would like to highlight how impressed we were with the efficiency of the service. Within 45 minutes, my son’s file had been opened, he had been examined by the doctor, sent for X-rays, returned to the doctor, had his arm successfully relocated under light general anaesthesia, and undergone follow-up X-rays to ensure the procedure had been completed correctly.

The only waiting time was for him to recover from the anaesthesia.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr Ntsebenza, Sr Delly Mqcoco, Sr Thandi Msimango, and all the staff at the Nokuthela Ngwenya Community Health Centre for their professionalism, compassion, and excellent care.

Your dedication and genuine concern for your patients are truly appreciated. Thank you for the outstanding service, and please keep up the excellent work.
