‘Lend a Paw’ to help man’s best friend

Anyone familiar with the timeless tale of Annie knows that Annie never goes anywhere without her trusted sidekick – her precious dog, Sandy.
With the launch of the Annie movie fast approaching, Movies @ The Ridge urges The Ridge guests and eMalahleni residents to ‘Lend a Paw’ to help man’s best friend.

To celebrate the January 30 release of the Annie movie, Sony Movies SA, together with Movies @ The Ridge and Eukanuba, will be launching the ‘Lend aPaw with Annie!’ campaign which rolls out from Friday, December 5.
The Ridge Casino Marketing Manager, Thapelo Modise said, “We can all play a part, The Ridge will be donating food and pet toys for the cause. We will also be adopting a dog kennel for a year at the local SPCA.”

From December 5, when guests and residents head to Movies @ The Ridge, they will find a fun Annie foot prints or paw prints that leads to a giant donation box where they can drop off their donations.
For those who aren’t able to make it to a cinema, but would still love to be involved, they can SMS ANNIE to 38018 (each SMS costs R25) or click here.

Modise said, “Guests can also snap a donation selfie at Movies @ The Ridge and upload it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag: #LendAPaw. There are amazing prizes to be won – SMS donations will be entered automatically.”
Eukanuba will also be running a photo competition via Facebook on www.facebook.com/eukanabasouthafrica, inviting people to send in stories together with photos of their own rescue pets for a chance to win more Annie and Eukanuba prizes.
“Lend a Paw with the new Annie movie, donate pet food or toys, and help furry friends in need this holiday season,” concluded Modise.
