Burglars get away with the goodies

Burglars broke into a store in the central business district and got away with over R100 000 worth of plunder.

On January 6, Mr Halid Hussein was awoken by a security company, informing him that his business had been broken into.

Overnight burglars had broken into Rainbow Cash and Carry Wholesaler and managed to loot the shop of eight cartons of cigarettes, two cash bags and an undisclosed amount of airtime, the total loss came to about R100 000 to the business.

The burglars had made their way into the business, through the roof in one of the corners of the shop. By the time security had arrived on sight, the burglars were well on their way. Hussein commented that the roof where the burglars broke in, had been repaired and that the business had suffered a loss.
