Dagga and other substances confiscated

Three people were arrested last week for the possession of illegal substances.

On Monday, January 27, at 03:00 police constables were patrolling the area, in Smuts Street. They received information about a guy that was selling dagga, they went to his home, knocked on the door and an unknown guy opened the door.

Once they opened the door, they searched a tog bag that was in the room and found 10 small Ecstasy pills and one poke of dagga.
The suspect was arrested and the total value of the drugs was R1050.

On the same day at 15:20 police received information about a unknown man dealing in dagga in Old Coronation.
Police then went to the address, they questioned a man that was sitting outside. He admitted that he was the lawful owner of the house and the police started the search.

In the house they found a yellow bag with six match boxes, five half match boxes, 11 balls and three small plastic bags of dagga.
The house owner was arrested and the value of the dagga is R600.

Then on Thursday, January 30, at 11:00 in the Central Business District, in Haig Street members of the crime prevention team were patrolling the area, when they noticed an unknown man holding a green plastic bag.
They stopped him and when they went to search him, he put the green bag inside his mouth.

The crime prevention team forced him to open his mouth and once the bag fell out they found 17 pinches inside the bag.
The total value is R700 and he was arrested and taken to Witbank Police Station.
