
In the early hours of Tuesday, February 18, five suspects driving in a black BMW, bombed a FNB ATM situated at one of the shopping centres in Ga-Nala.
The robbers armed with rifles, held a security guard that was patrolling the area, at gunpoint and robbed him of his cellular phone and firearm.
They robbers managed to flee the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.
Kriel Police later discovered and recovered an undisclosed amount of money suspected to be related to the ATM bombing which took place that morning.
Currently police are looking for any information that might aid them in the arrest of these suspects, anyone with information should please call the investigating officer, Lt Puleng Aphane on 082 780 2238 or the Kriel Police on 017 648 2266.
In other matters, Kriel police arrested 10 suspects over the past week for committing various crimes including shoplifting, violation of a court order and possession of drugs.
