Man shot out of the blue

A man was shot in Spring Valley informal settlement last week and the family is still trying to establish why he was shot.

The incident happened on Friday, March 14 at approximately 21:30 when a police constable at Witbank SAPS received information about the shooting.

He drove out to Spring Valley, when he arrived he noticed that there were already two other police constables on scene.
The injured man was taken immediately to Witbank Provincial Hospital in a private car, as he was bleeding profusely.
When the police constables arrived on scene they managed to speak to the victim’s sister, who told them that the doctors are busy treating her brother.

He allegedly sustained gunshot wounds to his right arm, right upper abdomen and in his back.
Police are still investigating the case, to find out why he was shot three times.
