“I was woken up by my daughter at about 04:45, and went out to feed my Alsatian. I then noticed the bike was gone,” said Mrs Amy Stark*.
On March 31 the Stark family living next to the old Middelburg road had locked up their home as usual and went to sleep at roughly 23:00.
Some time through the night, thieves entered the premises, breaking the gate between the two flats where the Starks stayed.
“It’s strange, normally my Alsatian barks and I immediately wake up but she didn’t bark at all that night and I slept right through,” continued Stark.
The TSR250cc Big Boy motorcycle was stolen off the Stark’s rear porch.
The thieves made sure they were not heard or seen and managed to take the orange and white motorcycle out of the yard without raising any alarm.
“It was my 18-year-old son’s bike that was stolen,” added Stark.
The motorcycle was the only thing that had been stolen.
